There is so much going on in and around Carcassonne.
Festivals, markets, Book Town events and of course the coast is only 45 minutes away. Toulouse barely 50 minutes for those who crave city life.
Montolieu itself has a fete in August every year and almost every Sunday in the Summer there is something on in Castelnaudary. Their famous Cassoulet festival is a high point of the Summer.For those visiting in the Winter/Spring there is the 3 month long Limoux festival - not to be missed!
