Every year there are festivals throughout the calendar. Carcassonne has its summer festival, Montolieu its annual fete in August, Limoux festival goes on from February through to April... the list goes on and on..
Check out the Tourism Office in Montolieu for local walks led by experienced guides and cycle routes along the Canal du Midi as well as mountain bike riding in the Montagne Noire.
For the less energetic hire a boat nearby at Bram and travel down the Canal du Midi in style.
